I’m 24 and originally from Chatham in Kent. I worked as a youth worker before deciding on pursuing a career in Marine Conservation and so began my course at Newquay college. I am an SSI Dive Master in SCUBA and when diving I promote and educate the importance of the environment that we dive in, as well as the organism within it that we will see. Whilst diving I encourage dives to collect any rubbish we encounter on the day.
I`m 25 and originally from Gillingham in Kent. My passion is discovering the workings of inanimate objects and living organisms, which has lead me from careers in automotive repairs to studying marine life at Newquay. Naturally, to interact with my new found love, I can often be found on the rocky shore investigating rock pools or beneath the waves observing the astounding creatures that call it home. These magically places have inspired me to try conserve and protect them.
After a career in insurance I returned to education at 29 to pursue a career in the marine industry. I moved from Bristol to complete my studies at Falmouth Marine School and I'm now in the final months of my BSc at Newquay College. I am keen to share my experience and knowledge gained through my time in Cornwall, to encourage others to protect the marine environment. This includes Newquay Coastal Clean Up, so please remember to "bin your line and tackle the problem" of angling litter.
